my poems

MY HOMEWORK
Sometimes my homework is small
Sometimes my homework is long
But whenever i do my homework
My homework is always wrong

Sometimes I do my homework at a slow pace
Sometimes I do my homework in the fast lane
But however I do my homework
my homework is still a pain

Sometimes my homework is easy
Sometimes my homework is hard
But whenever i can't do my homework
I feel like a retard

TRY TRY

have always seen life for what it really is.
Ever since I was a child growing up,
hard times are all I know.
I had to sit back and watch my mother work from sunset to sundown.
I had to sit back and watch my mother work herself to her grave.
Nothing ever came easy for her.
She always had a heart and kept a smile on her face.
Life is like a newborn baby struggling to come out of its mother's womb
,life is a struggle true enough,
but after all the struggling you have done
,and after all the hell you have been through,
there is success. Life is nothing but a big struggle,
but just keep the faith and focus on your goals.
Don't let life beat you or you will be walking around like zombies.
Keep on pushing,
keep on trying,
life can be whatever you make it to be.
But life can also be a bowl of cherries with whip cream and apple pie.
I say this again; life is what you make of it.
You can achieve or conquer anything it throws at you,
you can't quit or give up, you have got to keep on working,
look higher some way, some how you are going to make it.

My Teacher

My Teacher is like a gardener.

For her every student is like a seed.

Nurturing them with heed is her selfish deed.

Her lessons are like manure,

Nourishing students real needs,

abolishing the unwanted weeds.

Often conducted lecturesare like showering of water.

Cultivating the learners, for the coming years.

Dreams

Dreams… they are realised

when you listen to your heart.

Dreams… they are realised

when you empathise and hold a hand.

Dreams… they are realised

when you care enough and find a way.

Dreams… every moment,

a new one.… and many many more to come!

Droplet of Rain

Every-time every droplet of rain,

Reminds me of our love again.

It's so pleasant, it's so pure,

It's a paradigm of our encounter.

Every-time every droplet of rain,

Reminds me of our love again.

It's filled with senses, filled with tender,

Depicting my feelings, that's genuine forever.

Every-time every droplet of rain,

Reminds me of our love again.

It's beautiful like a colour, beautiful like a flower,

It's always on my mind like a musical guitar.

Every-time every droplet of rain,

Reminds me of our love again.

It's clear like a crystal, soft like a sponge,

Thinks your face with gentle thoughts.

Every-time every droplet of rain,

Reminds me of our love again.

When compressed gets spilled,

When freed remains standstill.

OUTER SPACE

I look up from Earth and try to see

The planets looking back at me.

I gaze at bright and distant stars

And search for Mercury, Venus, Mars.

I squint at the Milky Way way up high

And look for Jupiter in the sky.

Where are Saturn, Uranus, Neptune?

They're far away, high like the moon.

A telescope would be the best

For spotting Pluto and the rest.

I look for planets in the sky.

Nine Planets

Here are nine planets that we know.

Round and round the Sun they go.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars,

These are the planets near our star.

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, too.

Neptune, Pluto, we can't see you.

These are the nine planets that we know.

Round and round the Sun they go.

THE FAMILY OF THE SUN

The family of the Sun,

The family of the Sun.

Here are nine planets in

the family of the Sun.

Mercury is hot,

And Mercury is small.

Mercury has no atmosphere.

It's just a rocky ball.

Venus has thick clouds,

That hide what is below.

The air is foul, the ground is hot,

It rotates very slow.

We love the Earth, our home,

Its oceans and its trees.

We eat its food, we breathe its air,

So no pollution, please.

Mars is very red.

It's also dry and cold.

Someday you might visit Mars

If you are really bold.

Great Jupiter is big.

We've studied it a lot.

We found it has 16 moons

And a big red spot.

Saturn has great rings.

We wondered what they were.

Now we know they're icy rocks

Which we saw as a blur.

Uranus and Neptune

We don't know much about.

Maybe you will study them

And then we'll all find out.

Pluto's last in line.

It's farthest from the Sun.

It's small and cold and icy, too.

To land there won't be fun.

The family of the Sun,

The family of the Sun,

There are nine planets and

Now our journey's done.

INTRODUCTION

Mercury, number one.

It's the closest to the sun.

Venus bright, number two.

Morning and evening star we view.

Planet Earth, number three.

We live on it, you and me.

Planet Mars, number four.

Named for a Roman god of war.

Number five, Jupiter.

Colored clouds around it stir.

Number six, big Saturn.

Many rings around it turn.

Number seven, Uranus.

It looks blue and green to us.

Number eight, story Neptune.

Triton is it's frozen moon.

Number nine, tiny Pluto.

Farthest from the sun, you know.

HOME IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM

Oh give me a home, where the planets roam,

where the comets and the asteroids play,

Where seldom is seen,

a human being,

and the stars twinkle all night and all day.

Tuning Up For Outer Space

(sung to "The Farmer in the Dell")

The sun is in the sky. The sun is in the sky.

Hot and bright, it gives us light.

The sun is in the sky.

The moon is in the sky. The Moon is in the sky.

Around and 'round the earth it goes.

The moon is in the sky.

The stars are in the sky. The stars are in the sky.

Twinkly bright, they shine at night.

The stars are in the sky.

Stars

(sung to "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star")

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

I know what you really are:

Giant ball of glowing gas,

One of billions in a mass!

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

Oh, how big you really are!

Twinkle, twinkle, giant star,

Larger than the Earth by far!

Since your distance is a lot,

You look like a tiny dot.

Twinkle, twinkle, giant star,

Very bright, yet very far!

Stars are twinkling, every one,

Some are bigger than the sun!

Just a twinkle in the sky,

Just because you're oh, so high!

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

Oh, how big you really are!

The Solar System

(to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle..)

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

Oh so bright and oh so far.

In the sky, a tiny dot.

Glowing gas that's very hot!

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,

Oh so bright and oh so far.

Beaming, beaming, gleaming moon,

Like a giant white balloon.

Round and round the Earth you spin,

Through the month, new shapes you're in.

Beaming, beaming, gleaming moon,

Like a giant white balloon.

Glowing, glowing, red-hot sun.

Shining light on everyone.

Earth goes round you once a year.

You're a star with atmosphere!

Glowing, glowing, red-hot sun,

Shining light on everyone.

Moon

Are you lonely, Moon?

You giant white balloon!

You have no water, wind or air.

No wonder, nothing lives up there.

You can't grow trees or flowers or grass.

Your soil is only rocks and glass.

Even your light is not your own.

Instead it's from the sun that's shone.

Your gravity is weak, I hear.

You really have no atmosphere.

But don't be sad, Moon, please don't cry.

For I still love you in the sky.

Planets

Here are nine planets that we know.

Round and round the Sun they go.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars,

These are the planets near our star.

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, too.

Neptune, Pluto, we can't see you.

These are the nine planets that we know.

Round and round the Sun they go.

Planet Roll Call

Nine planets around the sun,

Listen as I call each one:

Mercury? Here! Number one,

Closest planet to the sun.

Venus? Here! Number two,

Shining bright, just like new!

Earth? Here! Number three,

Earth is home to you and me.

Mars? Here! Number four,

Red and ready to explore!

Jupiter? Here! Number five,

Largest planet, that's no jive!

Saturn? Here! Number six,

With rings of dust and ice that mix.

Uranus? Here! Number seven,

A planet tilted high in heaven.

Neptune? Here! Number eight,

With one dark spot whose size is great.

Pluto? Here! Number nine,

The smallest and the last in line!

Sing A Song of Solar System

Sing a Song of Sixpence

Sing a song of solar system,

Nine planets in all,

Orbiting around the Sun,

Each shaped like a ball.

The Sun is in the middle.

It's a hot, burning star.

Next come the inner planets,

Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

Sing a song of solar system.

Be sure to avoid

All those rocks in the belt

Known as asteroids.

Next Jupiter and Saturn,

They're gassy as you know;

Then Uranus and Neptune,

And don't forget Pluto!

MOON GAME

I am the moon and I play a game

I don't always look the same.

Sometimes I'm round, a silver sphere.

Sometimes just half of me seems to be here.

Sometimes I'm a crescent, shaped like a smile.

Sometimes I surprise you and hide for awhile!

Look up in the sky for my friendly light --

What shape will I be when you see me tonight?
